Grades
Members are expected to maintain the grade requirements as set forth by the organization. GPAs must be a 3.0 unweighted for all courses and a 3.5 unweighted in Mathematics courses. In addition, at the end of each quarter, each member must have a B or higher in an honors level or a C or higher in an advanced placement course. If a member does not met the grade requirement by the end of the semester, they will no longer be an active member of Mu Alpha Theta.
Group Meetings
The meeting dates are indicated on the Meetings tab. When we meet as a group, the attendance is mandatory by all members. Notice of all meetings will be given in advance, so students need to plan accordingly. Missing a meeting without being excused (only in cases of emergency) in advance will result in the member no longer being an active member of the club. Please fill out the contact form on the website for excuses.
Community Service
All Honors Societies at Ardrey Kell require that students complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service each school year. The hours from Knights in Action and the summers do not count toward this community service. These hours can be obtained through individual service or Mu Alpha Theta community service activities.
Contests
All members are strongly encouraged to compete in at least one mathematics competition per school year. The list of competitions are under the Contests tab (under resources).
Annual Dues
Each member of the club is required to pay club dues. This goes towards club shirts, competition expenses, and testing costs. Additional fees may be collected for competition fees if the member is participating. Please note that if a member does not maintain membership, they will not be refunded any of these fees.
Courses
All members are expected to be academic role models at Ardrey Kell. Any discipline at the school due to personal conduct or Honor Code violation may result in removal from Mu Alpha Theta.
